Casa Amarás is a 100% Mexican company dedicated to artisanal mezcal, which has always been based on the effort to contribute towards more equitable, fairer and sustainable production and marketing. The purpose as a company has always been to be a differentiator in the category and to inspire through transformation and close collaboration with people, through sustainable production and care of natural resources, with the clear intention of contributing to a sustainable future.
The sustainability and responsibility roadmap, and the philosophy of Casa Amarás, “Always Amarás” , is a simple but powerful vision of doing things better, taking the sustainable path and doing things for the benefit of everyone, for the environment , workers and society.
Currently Mezcal/Casa Amarás is the first Chile Mobile Number List mezcal with carbon neutral certification, proudly working for four years on programs to reduce the original C02 footprint, as well as on projects that offset the effect in its entirety.
Today, Casa Amarás has an agave plantation area of approximately 440 hectares that is distributed in Oaxaca, Guerrero and Durango, where the land is cultivated, cared for and respected to distill the best mezcal. Planting is done organically using compost from the distillery. It also has a planting program without deforestation, stabilizing the average number of agaves planted vs. harvested.
As part of the wild agave planting, rescue and research program; Casa Amarás has promoted the rescue of 11 species and 20 ethnospecies in its plantations, being also the company that planted the most species of agaves in the last decade.
Currently, Casa Amarás offers eight types of products in which each one of them exhibits the effort involved in bottling solar energy, which at the same time inspires love; for the sun, for the terroir, for the agave and for mother nature. These are Mezcal Amarás Espadín, Espadín Reposado, Cupreata and Ensamble; Mezcal Amarás Logia Cenizo, Logia Azul and Logia Mexicano; and Mezcal Verde Amarás. For the preparation of each of them, the priority is always to generate a sustainable balance through the planting of agave, improving practices day by day. Taking care of the soil, especially the way it is planted, is why 2018 was marked by the beginning of zero deforestation, aware that this is one of the critical points regarding climate change.
All of these practices and initiatives are elements that firmly lead to sustainable production and soil conservation, being tools of change towards a better planet.
Casa AMARÁS has a family of mezcals for every person and occasion in its portfolio: Mezcal Amarás Espadín, Espadín Reposado, Cupreata and Ensamble; Mezcal Amarás Logia Cenizo, Logia Azul and Logia Mexicano; and Mezcal Verde Amarás, the entire portfolio is available in Mexico and the United States at.
